Knit-Rite Cosmetic Stockings for Above Knee prosthetic legs are typically applied over your foam cosmetic cover and is intended to improve its cosmesis. An AK Cosmetic Stocking works best for continuous cosmetic covers only. There are commonly two types of foam cosmetic covers, continuous and discontinuous. A continuous cover is installed as one uninterrupted cover and is applied over your prosthetic knee joint. A discontinuous cover is installed in two separate sections, above and below the knee joint. Knit-Rite AK Cosmetic Stockings are designed for continuous foam covers.
Materials100% Stretch Nylon blended with spandex and elasticized silicone gripper cuff on AK
Wash your Knit-Rite AK Cosmetic Stockings in lukewarm or cold water with a gentle all-purpose detergent similar to Woolite. No liquid softeners or bleach. Rinse thoroughly and air dry overnight.
Velcro is not your friend in this instance nor is a dryer. Simply air dry.
